LOCAL RESIDENTS CONFIRMED BY SENATE
Two to serve on State Workers' Compensation Appeals Board
Two residents of the 37th Senatorial District were confirmed by the
Senate today (March 30) to serve on the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation
Appeal Board, according to Senator John Pippy.
Robert A. Krebs, an attorney with Morella & Associates, was confirmed
as a new member of the 12-member panel. Alfonso Frioni Jr., who has served
on the board since 1996, was reconfirmed by the Senate, according to
Senator Pippy.
"I am pleased that Alfonso Frioni was reconfirmed. He has served with
distinction since 1996 and he will continue to bring integrity and sincere
commitment to the board," Senator Pippy said. "Robert Krebs should be a
great addition to the board. He has expertise in workers comp cases and
the panel will benefit from his knowledge and experience."
The Workers' Compensation Appeals Board considers workers' compensation
cases on appeal from decisions rendered by all statewide Workers'
Compensation Judges. The board reviews more than 300 cases each year.
